XCAP
XML Configuration Application Protocol
XCAP enables an XCAP Client to instruct an XCAP Server to add, modify or remove information from an XML based configuration document. This document manipulation is facilitated by standard HTTP message exchanges between the XCAP Client and Server. An example would be the alteration of a subscriber’s social presence list; if the subscriber wishes to add, modify or remove people associated with their contact list, XCAP can be used between the mobile and the GLMS (Group List Management Server) in support of this.
