A Relay UE is a UE (User Equipment), defined within 3GPP ProSe and mission critical specifications, that relays traffic on behalf of another UE, supporting coverage extension or service continuity in proximity-based and off-network scenarios, forwarding traffic using ProSe direct communication over the sidelink interface.
