Regenerative Payload Regenerative NTN Payload
An NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) payload that performs radio-access processing onboard the satellite or airborne platform rather than acting only as a relay. In 3GPP Release 19 this places part or all of the gNB (Next Generation Node B) on the platform. If the full gNB is on the platform, this also enables inter-satellite routing over the Xn interface.
