PIN – Personal Identification Number

The Bluetoothª Personal Identification Number is used to authenticate two devices that have not previously exchanged link key. By exchanging a PIN, the devices create a trusted relationship. The PIN is used in the pairing procedure to generate the initial link that is used for further identification.
