EIF Energy Information Function
The EIF (Energy Information Function) is a management function defined in Release 19 to support EC (Energy Consumption) and EE (Energy Efficiency) monitoring and reporting across the RAN (Radio Access Network), 5G Core, and OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance). Other entities within the RAN and Core can query the EIF in order to obtain energy-related data in order to support decision-making and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
