Third Generation Partnership Project 2

The 3GPP2 is a sister project to 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) and is a collaboration agreement dealing with North American and Asian interests regarding third generation mobile networks. It is comprised of five Standards Development Organizations similar to the Organizational Partners in the 3GPP. The partnership is comprised of a number of Technical Specification Groups which meet around ten times per year and are responsible for the following five areas: A-interface system, CDMA2000 , ANSI-41 (American National Standards Institute-41), wireless packet data interworking and services and systems aspects.
