2FA Two-Factor Authentication
2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is a security process that requires users to provide two different forms of identification making it harder for attackers to gain access even if they have your password. The two factors typically come from different categories:
- Something you know – such as a password or a PIN (Personal Identification Number).
- Something you have – such as an authentication app or hardware token.
- Some you are – such as a fingerprint or facial recognition.
