  • Defining 5G Advanced:
    • Introduces new features that extend the capabilities of initial 5G deployments.

  • 5G Advanced Architecture:
    • Focusing on key changes such as NCR, PIN, and mobile gNBs with wireless backhaul to enhance flexibility and coverage.

  • 5G Advanced Radio Enhancements:
    • Advanced NR features, including: improved MIMO, enhanced mobility, new frequency bands, support for smaller bandwidths and additional multi-carrier capabilities.

  • 5G Advanced IoT and MTC:
    • Enhancements include support for eRedCap, improved timing, MT-SDT support, and extended IoT via NTN integration.

  • NTN in 5G Advanced:
    • 5G Advanced leverages Non-Terrestrial Networks for backhaul, supports new satellite bands, and enables verified UE location.

  • 5G Advanced Positioning:
    • Positioning capabilities are expanded through higher accuracy, sidelink advancements, and support for low-power precise tracking.

  • 5G Advanced Energy Efficiency:
    • Energy-saving mechanisms are further optimized in 5G Advanced to meet sustainability goals.
