The MCX Insights series is a modular collection of short, focused videos that builds a working understanding of Mission-Critical Services. This series is useful for those new to the subject, people moving from a legacy radio background, and experienced practitioners looking to fill specific knowledge gaps.

It covers how mission-critical voice, video and data are delivered over LTE, 5G, IMS and MCX, and how this differs from traditional land mobile radio such as TETRA and P25. Each video is a clearly defined subject from basic concepts through to advanced deployment, interworking and migration topics.

This Insight training focuses on the evolution from TETRA and P25 to MCX, introducing MCPTT, MCVideo and MCData and explaining key concepts such as group calls, floor control, priority and QoS. It also examines resilience, off-network operation and interworking, before looking at the key considerations for a phased migration to broadband mission-critical services.

How long do I get access to the course?

On-demand courses are accessible immediately following purchase. Each course will have a different access period ranging from 3-6 months on average. You can continue to access the Mpirical learning platform after your course licence expires; however, you won’t be able to view any course content or learning tools unless you are a paid customer.
