It begins with an overview of the AI-RAN Alliance and the architectural principles behind integrating AI with the RAN. The course then explores the three key integration domains of AI in the RAN: AI for RAN, AI and RAN, and AI on RAN. Topics include the role of the RIC (RAN Intelligent Controller), AI-native air interfaces, and applications such as beam management, resource allocation, and energy efficiency. The course also covers the enabling technologies that allow AI and RAN workloads to converge, including edge computing, distributed infrastructure, and real-time AI services.
