Course Details
This course sets out to introduce and explain how 4G/5G can be used for FWA (Fixed Wireless Access), and as such support wireless connectivity to currently unconnected areas or provide an alternative to broadband or cable technology. As such, the FWA terminology and architecture is explained in terms of the functions related to the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment), as well as the variants for Outdoor FWA and Indoor FWA. The course also describes key radio spectrum aspects, as well as features in 4G and 5G which aim to improve the performance and connectivity for FWA devices. The 4G/5G network connectivity options are described before moving onto network procedures relating to how the FWA device connects and transfers data.
