The challenge

The Constabulary had been tasked with aligning technical knowledge for telecoms related disciplines across multiple separately controlled teams.

It was determined that everyone had different backgrounds and knowledge levels which resulted in the need to provide a foundation level of knowledge on 2G to 5G technologies. This would ensure that each person had the same level of knowledge, making them more independent and confident in their decision making and becoming less reliant on internal experts in this field.

This posed a unique challenge, as they needed an instructor who could establish a common technical foundation across a range of levels, while making complex concepts easy to understand.

After in-depth discussions with the Mpirical team, who explored the level of learner, previous knowledge, challenges and objectives of the training, they established that a tailored 2G to 5G Mobile Networks course would meet the Constabulary’s requirements. Radio and operation became the focus with the course re-written to cover everything from radio principles and RF measurements to 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G Air Interface. The course was delivered in person through our Live onsite delivery over 5 days.
