Course Details
This course provides an insight into 5G coverage planning and is part of a set of courses focusing on 5G Radio Planning. The course starts by focusing on the various 5G deployment strategies and how these impact the coverage planning process. It discusses the key aspects of 5G Site selection and details how 5G radio, services and devices impact the planning process. The fundamentals of 5G PCI planning are identified, as well as the relation to frequency planning and layer management. It then goes on to detail the impact of antenna choice and antenna placement on the coverage, visualizing the impact of changing an antenna type, height, orientation and tilt. Finally, the course concludes with a summary of different 5G coverage planning scenarios.
