Course Details

The IP Multimedia Subsystem has been used to deliver IP based services to consumers for over two decades. Despite its slow introduction, the roll out of 4G VoLTE and 5G VoNR have served as the catalyst for today’s IMS deployments. This course seeks to provide a foundation level of knowledge on the architecture and operation of an IMS, covering areas such as key functional elements, registration, session establishment and finally, the crucial role that PCC (Policy and Charging Control) plays in many IMS networks.
