Case Study KPN
KPN have a wide portfolio of fixed and mobile telecoms solutions that they offer across Europe. This complex business makes it a challenge in terms of skilling their financial, marketing and technical staff to truly understand the business plan and so all move forward in the same direction.
After a visit by one of our MBA faculty, the MBA core modules were tailored to focus on the business critical processes that KPN needed to communicate to a pre selected team. The MBA was structured and delivered over a carefully defined timetable, to integrate into process implementation within the business, so providing just in time training. The programme culminated with a case study that reflected the KPN business plan, and students had the opportunity to analyze and question higher management thinking and at the same time formulate their own ideas.
The course really extended the team and armed them with key concepts they could build on in the future. What is more as part of the programme they developed excel models and business tools that could be applied in the work place.
Case Study Telenor
Telenor have a talent development program through which graduates from all disciplines including business, marketing, finance and technology are carefully schooled to develop and sharpen their skills. Through discussion it was quickly recognized by Telenor that the blend of business, strategy and technical experience that could be offered by Mpirical and our partner Coleago through the Real Telecoms MBA was of high value to their talent program.
We worked closely with Telenor to ensure that while the MBA programs concepts and features were maintained the actual network, commercials and financials were customized to reflect of the Telenor business. This approach to customizing the program was extremely cost effective due to the modular design of the course and the bespoke solution provided real additional learning benefits.
