UMTS - UTRAN Protocols and Procedures
(3 days or 18 hours)

This course examines the UMTS UTRAN through analysis of the UTRAN Interfaces and Logical and Transport Channels. Node B Setup Procedures as well as Idle State and Connected State Procedures are also discussed, in addition to CS and PS Operation. The course examines the transfer of signalling and traffic between the UE and the Core Network. The course also includes exercises and demonstrations utilizing the latest network analyzers to visualize UTRAN Operation.
