UMTS Radio Planning and Optimization
(2 days or 12 hours)

Across the globe, UMTS networks are continuing to be deployed and areas of 3G coverage are continuously being extended. This course details the radio network design process, incorporating the available options in UMTS. As such, it examines the requirements and considerations a planner needs when designing UMTS coverage and capacity. Those attending should have a good understanding of UMTS operation and the UMTS air interface and as such, mpirical’s UMTS System Engineering and UMTS Air Interface courses are ideal primers.
