Femto Cell System Engineering (1 days or 6 hours)In a bid to improve both network capacity and in-building coverage, both network vendors and service providers are investigating the use of Femto Cells as a cost efficient means of satisfying these challenges. This course sets out to explain not only the rationale behind Femto Cells but also the 3GPP’s architecture and operation. The course also reviews how mobility will be supported and discuss the various issues which need to be addressed. Attendees of this course should have a good understanding of UMTS or have attended mpirical’s Engineering the Mobile Network course. Who Should AttendThis course is designed for network engineers involved in the development and operation of Femto Cells and product managers requiring a detailed understanding of the issues effecting Femto Cell deployment.
